Maria and Rich met in 1996 at a karaoke show in a little bar at 80th and Roberts Rd called Szrotka's. After touring around the City and Suburban areas various karaoke shows we decided to give it a try ourselves. Originally this was a hobby business. Although we had a vision that we could do better. We saw how the others were doing business and felt objective enough to set up shop based on well, I like this and not that. It seemed our formula worked pretty well as we began establishing ourselves in a couple of bars. We have turned out to be quite the leaders at this.
With our system setup we have the ability to run just simple CD's and the more expensive karaoke CD's called "CD+G's". Our setup is durable and some components are Made in the USA which a lot of other DJ's cannot say especially if they run their system off a laptop conputer. Plus it includes karaoke a pretty neat little Japanese deal. The GEM sounds CD player is manufactured in New York and is skip proof not just skip resistant. The karaoke player is a Cavs and is manufactured in Korea and is skip proof. It could be made to skip if there is enough of a jolt to the floor or the cabinet. I have never really had a lot of complaints from it it really takes a lot to make it skip. We have started using my IBM lap top computer for shows. I have a 250 gig hard drive that works really well. I even got a free IPOD I can use at our shows. Thank You Network Solutions! We do our best to keep the price of our shows down that way more people can afford our service. We have a new GigRac brand PA that works great and has a graphic equalizer built into it so I can customize the tonal quality of the music to fit the room. It really works great. We can also add larger speakers to it and that is on our wish list. |
